Paralegal Certification & Careers
The backbone of the legal profession. ABA-approved programs and career trajectories.
Paralegals form the backbone of litigation and corporate practice. In many jurisdictions, paralegal time is billable to the client, making them highly profitable for law firms.
Certification vs. Certificate
A paralegal certificate is an educational credential. "Certified Paralegal" (CP) is a professional designation granted by organizations like NALA. While California has specific statutory requirements under B&P Code § 6450, most states do not require formal certification to work as a paralegal, prioritizing practical experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity) and court filing systems (ECF/PACER).
